Depression

People who are depressed often experience a down, low, or sad mood, and they may also feel irritable. Sometimes depression can start after going through stressful events, difficult life changes, or losses, and at other times it may seem to come out of the blue, even when things in life seem like they are going okay. Psychotherapy can help with sorting out what may be contributing to your depression, enabling you to shift your outlook, and develop coping strategies to help you improve your mood and deal with difficult situations.

Symptoms of depression include:

  • Depressed, sad, low, or irritable mood
  • Low energy, fatigue, and problems with motivation
  • Feeling less interested in things you usually enjoy
  • Sleeping or eating too little or too much
  • Problems focusing
  • Feelings of worthlessness or excessive guilt

Starting therapy is a great way to begin to feel lighter, and develop the hopefulness and enjoyment of life you deserve to experience.
